“Flashback to the 90s with “Shattered”, from Cassandra Cole. This mixture between grunge and pop is available on her first album, Steps, already available. A pearl from another time interpreted with finesse and determination”
– Rolling Stone, France
“Cassandra’s songwriting is a blend of raw energetic passion with an eclectic modern edge. Her sound is a reflection of her own experiences and stylistic inspirations like …Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, and even Janet Jackson.”
– Erica Rivera
Californian-turned-Minnesotan Cassandra Cole is a Twin Cities–based singer-songwriter and performer, known for her unique blend of alternative soul rooted in raw emotion and modern edge. Inspired by the storytelling and artistry of Fiona Apple, Phoebe Bridgers, and Madison Cunningham, Cole crafts music that is both intimate and powerful—exploring themes of love, self-discovery, and resilience with striking honesty.
Cole first made her mark with her 2020 debut album Steps, which introduced her heartfelt songwriting and commanding voice to the Midwest music scene. Now, she returns with her upcoming EP The Grey—a more organic, soulful collection born out of one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Written while navigating personal challenges and searching for clarity, The Grey leans into a stripped-back, acoustic-driven sound while still carrying the layered textures and energy her music is known for. The result is vulnerable yet steady—chill, reflective, and deeply human.
Over the past few years, Cole has performed at regional festivals and venues including Big Turn Music Festival, The Mall of America, and Rivertown Fall Art Festival, steadily building her reputation as a voice of strength and authenticity in the Twin Cities music scene. With The Grey on the horizon, she continues to share songs that resonate with communities in need of connection, hope, and honesty—reminding listeners that even in the hardest moments, music can carve out light.
